Fujairah Culture and Media Authority was established in 2006 by an Emiri decree, with the aim of enhancing performance and contributing effectively to building a distinguished cultural media ecosystem, grounded in supporting and preserving human beings in accordance with our authentic Arab and Islamic values.

The Authority is keen to develop a comprehensive cultural vision based on highlighting Fujairah's unique cultural identity and expressing it through projects that reflect the Emirate's heritage and its artistic and knowledge diversity. In addition, great attention is given to preserving and revitalizing the folk heritage by innovative means that preserve its continuity and strengthen its presence for the emerging generations.

Within the framework of supporting the creative economy, the Authority continues its efforts to build an integrated and dynamic ecosystem that enhances the role of the cultural and media sectors as an effective economic contributors. Therefore, it works to provide an appropriate environment for nurturing and developing talent, encouraging creative entrepreneurship, and enhancing the participation of young people in the publishing, artistic production, and modern media fields, thereby contributing to increasing the positive impact of these sectors on the GDP of the Emirate.

In addition, the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority undertakes the responsibility of leading the cultural, media and artistic movement in the Emirate, by establishing effective strategic partnerships with various concerned entities and institutions. The Authority supervises the implementation of a variety of programs and activities. Such programs and activities include the sectors of culture, media and arts, targeting all segments of community. These initiatives contribute to consolidating culture as an essential element of daily life and enhancing its presence in the community scene, as well as playing its vital role in developing national awareness and strengthening the values of belonging and human interaction.

At the external level, the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority represents the Emirate in various regional and international events. Moreover, it seeks to strengthen cultural relations with counterpart institutions across the world, through partnerships, cultural agreements, cooperation and exchange programs. These efforts reflect the civilizational image of the UAE, and enhance the position of Fujairah as a leading cultural and media platform in the region.
